If you every tried to install using FTP, whichever one you use, Core, Filezilla, then sometimes you run into errors. Well all you have to do is install the latest version of wordpress Click Here. Another alternative is use Jeff Johnsons Free SEO WordPress, Download This Free SEO Here. So try either one of these methods for using WordPress. After you download the zip file. Then you have to unzip this file. If you don’t know how to unzip a file here is a free Zip Software, FREE ZipGenius Download Here. After you unzip this file you can either upload the files using a FTP client or do this the easy way by using Fantastico in your Control Panel with Hostgator.com
Step 1 Get HostGator Here, this is only 10.00 a month, I would suggest the baby package
Step2 Login and go to your Cpanel
Step3 Scroll to you get to the bottom and look for Fantastico, It should look like a big Smilie Face
Step4 Look for Blogs, then under Blogs you will see, WordPress on the left of the screen. Click on it.
Step5: Click on New Installation, You have to have a domain name, If you don’t have a domain name yet. Register with GoDaddy
Step6: So after you get a domain name, The first field says:
Install on Domain Name: Put the domain name you register in this field

Then it says Install in Directory: I would just name your folder Blog, this will be your new subdirectory.
Step8: Create Administration WordPress Username and Password.
Step9: Base configuration
Administration Nickname: Your name
Adminstration email: Your email, Preferabbly your email on your own domain. Like support@ whatever email address you want to use.
Site name: your main website
Site description: you can describe you site here
Step10: Install WordPress
STep11: After you successful set up your wordpress blog, it says email your information to yourself. This would be wise, Then create a folder and save your information in. You don’t want to lose your database information , username and password.
Step12: You are ready to log in under you admin with your username and password and start creating posts.
